Promoting Affordable and Sustainable Access To Wash
It is estimated that poor sanitation costs Ghana about US$290 million per annum. This is equivalent to 1.6% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
Improved access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities are fundamental human rights and also essential for the socio-economic transformation of the communities and countries at large. CDO is committed to the following:
• Promoting best practices in the WASH sector.
• Supporting countries in West Africa to achieve open defecation free communities.
• Promote innovative technologies and approaches related to increased access to water, improved toilet facilities, and waste management.
